Repottable christmas tree

Hi, we have decided we would like to buy a living tree that we could keep in the garden and hopefully bring in next year..,we had a look at trees in B & Q, but they said they were not suitable for planting outdoors. 
Does anyone know what the difference is and know where we coud get such a tree?

Aaaah there was a thread with a link added with little Christmas trees that you could plant I'll see if I can find it for you.
