By doing that you have organised in your head that things will get sorted once in work they drop into the background.

When working I used my 30-45 drive home to organize my thoughts and what needs doing.

Even in chaotic/dynamic environments having a sense of priorities of the stuff on the list makes it easier to slot new stuff in.

A few tips that just might help hopefully, insomnia and early waking before work are awful.

    1. Cushioned eye mask. Blocks out all light including alarms, phones and so on.
    2. Take a magnesium tablet before bed.
    3. If you wake at 4am or whatever, always have a drinkable yogurt on your bedside table, they can bring up your blood sugar level.
    4. Best of all in my experience.... wake up at 4am? Go to the loo, back to bed, knock back the yogurt drink, followed by a fizzy multivitamin I use the Aldi ones. Then knockout!

Honestly, don't knock it till you try it. Magnesium is a great supplement for relaxing and sleep and is in the multivitamin fizzies also.
