Fixed Term Contract

Options
Hello,

I am looking for some advice, I have had an AIP from Halifax for £152k and have just had an offer accepted on a property at £171k. I have a deposit of £20k.

I have spoken to an online broker and they are pushing for me to apply with HSBC citing that no one else will consider me due to my fixed term contract - I believe that HSBC while one of the cheapest are the most picky?

Please can anyone advise if I should sit tight with the broker or if you think that I may be better going direct with another lender? I started my contract in 04/2019 it is two years long. I have worked in similar roles for many years.

Thanks,

Halifax will have no problem with this.

HSBC? Perhaps, but they will think about it for a while, first.

Thanks for getting back to me. Do you think I should submit my own application to Halifax. The rates aren’t the best but securing a property is essential to me at the moment. I guess if I fix for two years and then hopefully on renewal my employment will be permanent.

    Thanks.
