Money received from ex used toward deposit

Options
Hi

I am currently trying to raise the money for my deposit and have asked my ex partner to pay back 2k that she owes me. She has agreed to do this but will this deposit of 2k into my bank raise any questions with the solicitor as part of any anti money laundering checks and will I have to ask her to provide bank statements etc (not sure if she will be willing to)?

Thanks

Can you evidence paying her the money?
If not, who is the lender? Some will be fine, others will not, some may want a gifted deposit letter.

  • Not exactly, I paid a bill for her and also bought something for her on my credit card.

Lender is Halifax, was hoping to avoid the gifted deposit route as not sure how co-operative she'll be.
