How long is the conveyancing process?

Mortgage offer received... Now in the hands of the solicitors..... Is 6 weeks a reasonable time frame? I am hoping to move in by the 1st June.

There are so many different aspects that affect the conveying process, the main one being how complicated the chain is. My most recent house purchase was held up because we have to pay a management company and we had to wait ages for the paperwork from them.
6 weeks is certainly feasible though.Make £10 a day in May- £90/£1500 -
The completion date is a compromise agreed by the different parties in the chain.
This is obviously going to be after the completion of most of the conveyancing process.I am a mortgage broker. Yeah I think so though depends on the chain, how quick you all sign papers and return them. Searches and of course the speed of the solicitors themselves!0

No chain involved. Vendor is going to rent and we are keeping our current property as well. Fingers crossed it is straight forward.0
