No mortgage overpayments since September but the emergency fund is now up to £6000 with a further £1000 saved in sinking funds for things like car and house repairs. If I count it all as one big pot of money I think I can hit my goal of £9000 by the end of the year (or in January, at least).
Going to have to play about with YNAB when I get my December pay though as I also want to hit my target in Mortgage Free Wannabe's challenge (£5000 overpaid in 2020), which means I need to find another £800 overpayment from somewhere!2023 Mortgage-Free Wannabe #19: £11,675.68/£13,000

Well, I've managed to hit my third goal of £9000 saved for the emergency fund (excluding sinking funds) with a few days to spare in 2020. Decided against another mortgage overpayment this year - will start fresh again in 2021. I don't have any more immediate savings goals so I should be able to overpay about £1000 a month. The mortgage balance currently stands at -£125,391.15.
Merry Christmas all!2023 Mortgage-Free Wannabe #19: £11,675.68/£13,000
