bedroom sizes

Can anyone tell me what i do if i believe the council are charging me for a bedroom that isnt a bedroom? I work,i pay full rent . The bedroom in question is under 50 square feet and according to the 1985 housing act doesnt constitute a bedroom yet for the last 13 years the council have been charging me rent for this room. Can anyone advise me please.

    The council have charged you for a whole house. In many 3 bed houses, the third bedroom will measure around 50 sq ft, perfectly acceptable as a child's bedroom. Can't see you getting anywhere with this.
    If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
