Giving away furniture

We have several old but servicable Scandinavian wall units that we no longer use. They have been languishing in the loft for years now, but it is time they went! They are too good to just throw out, we would like them to be put to good use, so are there any schemes in Glasgow where someone starting out in their first home gets given furniture through some organisation?
Failing that it will have to be freecycle!
