im after a heart rate monitor, last time i used one it was a chest strap one linked to a watch type display. I d like to monitor it all day, so am guessing its really only a fit bit bracelet type thing?
Are these any good, and any ones to avoid, or that you'd recommend? Not fussed about it connecting to my phone for texts, or cooking my dinner while im out, just want it to display my heart rate throughout the day

Mine will do that, it will intermittently take it for you but you can take it whenever you want at the touch of the button. What it won't do is record the readings.
After having lost a couple of fitbits I was recommended it as a cheap alternative, I've had it two years now and the battery lasts around a month before it needs charging (via USB)

Why? If you have a heart problem, your GP will lend you a high end monitor for 24 hours. I have an Apple Watch which records heart rate. It’s expensive. Fit bit is cheaper. That Chinese thing is perhaps your best bet.0
