I've recently taken out some holiday insurance (annual)
I've checked my bank today and the company have taken the money, which of course is fine.
However, I happened to check my direct debits (I only have two) but I've come across three set up in the last few days-all insurance related-one eon, one pet Insurance (I don't even own a pet!!!!) and another one as house insurance!
I've cancelled these straight away and will be emailing the companies and asking how the heck they got my details!! The only thing that links is buying this holiday insurance.
Any advice welcome, thank you

Sorry, I've just read it back and realised it wasn't very clear.
Is this a common thing that happens; direct debits being set up without your consent?
Also, is there anything else I need to do part from cancel them (which I've done) and email the companies (still yet to do)
Thank you0 -
Contact your travel insurance provider and make sure the insurance you took out and paid for in one lump sum will not/has not been cancelled as a result of cancelling the unknown direct debits.
Also keep an eye on your account and make sure you cancel any more unknown DD's which may appear and, if any do and whoeveritis manages to extract funds before you notice, tell the bank you want the funds returned under the DD guarrantee as the DD was unauthorised and don't forget to cancel it.0
