Natwest mortgage application

Hello!
Sorry I know this has probably been asked before! We were rejected a mortgage through principality (via broker) due to missed payment of £12 in the past 12 months. My broker didnt ask for credit reports prior to applying. So we have now got an additional 5% deposit so we will be borrowing 10% now as he said this could help things.
I have decided to go direct to my bank natwest due to nursery fees. If this doesnt go through im happy to leave it for another 6-12months and try again.
So far I got an AIP on 16th april, applied on 17th. Soft search showing on 18th april on experian. Natwest have requested further docs by post (thought it was all paperless but hey ho)
Is this looking promising? Sorry I know nobody knows for sure but the Easter weekend waiting is driving me insane!

good to get rid of your broker, any good broker will get copies of all your credit reports before applying.
You won't know if your successful until you have given the documents requested"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

That changed in August last year.
