PVG (Scotland) query

I currently hold a PVG for both children and vulnerable adults in my married name. My work have put me forward for a university course that requires membership of the scheme and the organisers (an English university) want me to renew my PVG. This isn't a problem.
The issue is that their computer keeps rejecting my identification documents. Does anyone have experience of getting a PVG reverified after marriage when you've not got a new passport? I'm medically disqualified from driving.
I have the following:
- Passport (in maiden name)
- marriage certificate
- birth certificate (reissued in adulthood as I changed my name, this seems to be causing issues as it's not issued within a year of my birth but I have an email from the Registrar General for Scotland office verifying that this is the only birth certificate I have under Scottish law)
- National Entitlement Card in married name (council issued bus pass)
- various bank statements and council tax letters in married name.
I can't get a new passport as I'm going on holiday next month and flights and visas are all booked in maiden name (all booked two years ago before work told me to apply for this course).
When I got married I just emailed PVG my marriage certificate and proof of new address and they sent an email back saying that's fine I'm all up to date.

You're supposed to update Disclosure Scotland within 3 months of any changes to your contact details, name etc. You must already have a PVG membership number if you're in the scheme, so they'd just need your marriage certificate, according to their website.
Edited: Sorry, I missed that you're a PVG scheme member under your married name already. I'm not sure what you're trying to do - does the university really need a certificate? You have a scheme membership number already. If they do, then can you not just fill in the paper form from here? Are they trying to get you to do an English disclosure?0 -

i think this might be the issue0 -
I don't think you should need an English one, if you're resident n Scotland, the university should accept the Scottish one. Have you sent them a copy of your certificate?0

Yes, they have a copy of my PVG and they've sent me the correct form to get an update on it but they're asking for all this evidence as if I'm applying for a new one, I think something is getting lost in translation somewhere.
I'm completing the course at my workplace in Scotland, there are no placements anywhere else in the U.K. so I wouldn't think they'd need an English disclosure. I'd call them but of course everyone is closed for the holidays0 -
They'll be open again Tuesday morning though, in the circumstances, there is nothing else you can do, so the earliest you will be able to sort this is Tuesday morning. Once you have called them I'm sure they will be able to help you and you will have it sorted in the meantime.0

I don't know if this will throw any light on your situation, but I have a colleague whose surname can be shown in different ways, either with or without a space after a prefix which makes them sound as if they might be Scots (they're not).
When I did their DBS check, the ID documents were not a perfect match, because the driving licence either did or did not have the space, whereas other documents did.
What I was told to do - and I kid you not! - was to 'correct' the name being used on the [STRIKE]driving licence[/STRIKE] DBS APPLICATION to harmonise with [STRIKE]that[/STRIKE] THE DRIVING LICENCE, verify the driving licence, and then 'correct' their name back to how it appears on the passport.
You might find whoever you speak to suggests you change your name, verify documents, then change it back again?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Managed to get hold of a Scottish person at the university and they've confirmed that what I already have is absolutely fine0
