Do national express offer cheap advance tickets on airport routes only ever seen them on intercity routes and how far on advance do national express release advance fares

I have never seen any. Personally I use rail (cheap advance tickets) to get near to an airport, and Easybus to get to the airport itself.

last time we flew from Luton we took an Easyjet bus from London to Luton for the princley sum of £3.98 for both of us
The trip was actually on a normal National Express bus service

Had you bought your tickets directly from National Express I am confident that you would have paid a good deal more.
