I worked with this company for a few months last year and only stopped as the workload was getting too large for me and I needed to give my regular full time job more priority.
Website tells you all you need to know. Although you could choose to work only weekends, in order to get the work, you really need to be able to work weekdays as sometime jobs are released one day and have to be completed within a few days.
Although there are some "mystery shopping" type jobs, most either need no interaction with people or when you do, you can identify yourself as being an agent for a company.
Also, as a result, in my time with them, I never needed to buy anything and have to reclaim costs (which to me was an advantage).
To work sucessfully for SRL, I suggest you have the following equipment / skills
1. Digital camera. These jobs are mainly about taking quality photos of road side adverts, commercial premisies etc and uploading them into the company site.
2. Car, confident driving skills and good map reading skills. In order to maximise your income, you need to get around your "area" quickly and efficiently. You also need to be able to sometimes park illegally so that you can take pictures without having to waste time parking far away and walking to your destinatation.
3. Good PC / Laptop with broadband connection and printer (for printing off job details and authorisatoin letters etc). As mentioned, a lot of the work is sourced and completed online and will involve uploading sometimes 100+ pictures and you want this to happen quickly.
Hopefully as a result of this post, I will have helped someone generate some nice part time earnings from this company.
Regards

II knew a guy who used to do similar work. Do not know what company? but he was very happy and used to do just this as full time.
I did ask him to provide me with details but he did not. Now that Sujman you have I shall be certainly applying.
Thanks0 -
Application form page requires:-
Public Liability insurance,(£100 ?)
satnav, (£100 ?)
digital video camera, ( £ ?)
digital camera, ( £ ? )
And no guaranty of employment ?0 -
I worked for them 2 years ago, always paid on time and never disputed any costs. They are well worth a look. I only stopped because they wanted me to go self employed and I couldn't at the time.I'm back after a break :money:0

Do they cover costs such as 'petrol'? obviously, within a reasonable amount and what can you say about this company regards to employing Uni students?
I have applied and think I got a good chance as I live bang in central London.

Sujman, I have had a look at the website and it does look interesting, but it also looks like quite a lot of work for the money by the time you've got to the place, taken the pix, labelled them and sent them in - and paid for the petrol. It looks like you only get £1.50 for that. Did you find you got a reasonable hourly rate out of it after costs?0

also sleepless saver i wonder if you have to pay for pics to be developedMake £11,000 in 2011 / ebay £6000

Re: Various queries
None of the jobs I took on warranted re-imbursement for petrol, so no, I dont think you can claim this back (unless rules have changed).
I did a job involving banks and I could claim back parking costs (but didnt as I did it over the weekend, when it was free anyway).
Never had to develope pics, only upload them straight to their website, so no costs incurred there.
Wouldn't think they would have an issue with Uni students, as long as you can do the assignments, you should be ok.
After a few small assignments, I often found that I could have around 20 - 30 jobs at £1.50 each which could be done in one go, if I got the timings right. Potentially, you could do all that work within a morning, so you may feel that is a reasonable return on your time.
Also, the "cycle" of jobs are repeated, so whenever the batch had to be re-done, you naturally became quicker at it.
When I was orginally "interviewed" for this job (was done over the phone so you'll get a chance to ask any questions), the company said that you could expect to earn upto £20 an hour, especially if you lived in an area that had a high density of outdoor ads.
Me, persoanally, I think after taking into account - familiarising myself with the job (reading all the paperwork), printing it all off, planning how I was going to tackle to job, actually doing it, making the necessary notes and then uploading all the results, perhaps I was recovering well under £10 per hour.
However, I spent a lot of time whilst in my regular full time job preparing for these assignments, so was in affect "free time". However, as mentioned in my original post, as my regular job got more demanding, I decided I'd rather concentrate on that instead of a small sideline.
If you are in a situation where you need to make a choice between doing this and another income generating job, all I can suggest is give it a go and see how it works out for you.
If you do well but decide to leave, perhaps SRL will start giving you the more lucrative jobs, where you can maximise your time and therefore earnings.0 -
Thanks op, Seems rather intresting so i will look back into this once my little lad has started school full time. I will keep it on my favourites for now.0
