The instuction leaflet with my bag of soapnuts says that you can use them 1x on 90C, 2x on 60C, and 3x on 30C, but from the information above, it seems they can be used more often? Great!

I have used them for whites, and did not have any marks, just a grayness. So, I would use the soapnuts a few times, then use a traditional washing powder with additional oxygen a few times, then back to soap nuts.

They don't really foam, but then 'foam is a waste of soap'.

I've never had them leave weird marks on whites either. They don't keep things sparkly white though, so I would either add some soda crystals or some oxy bleach to get things nice and bright.

I've had a couple of different batches and some are smaller than others, so I think you just have to judge each handful for yourself regarding how many washes you'll get from them.
