i was a employee of te dixons group and gota say that coverplan is an absolute joke. Best thing to do is to call up the complaints department of coverplan they normally sort it out for you if you are persistant enough! The normal customer services number is useless!!!
  • Dixons dont seem to be any help at all.

I bought a Hi-Fi from them around April of this year for my daughters birthday, it lasted 4 months before it broke.

The store repaired it although it took around 3 to 4 weeks to complete.

Now the Hi-Fi is broke again, I went in to ask for a replacement or my money refunded but was told it had to be repaired at least twice before that could happen.

I called my local trading standards office and was put through to consumers direct who advised that I was in my rights to ask for a refund as the unit did not last for a reasonable ammount of time.

Armed with this info I went back to the shop this morning but they still were sticking to the Two repairs policy.

Now Trading Standards are going to take this up for me.

Anybody else had anything like this happen in the past.
