Hi All,
Initially the AIP was from HALIFAX and lender MA opted for Santander at the end.
We are first time buyers , MA submitted application on Friday April 12, 2019 and we received an email and text message in afternoon.
In the email we have received a reference number starting with AA******* but can not check the progress online at the website
https://www.santanderforintermediaries.co.uk/submit-and-track-business/tracking-an-application/
I have tried using the post code as password but no luck , rang the help centre, but they told me that this line for brokers.
As we both are employed , our emplyers will be contacted for financial verifications or details will checked with HMRC
Can anyone please tell me what will be the next steps regarding approval , valuation of the property?
Thanks in advance.
Mazi

You won’t be able to track your application with Santander.
The intermediaries site needs several passwords and codes to get into and is just for brokers.
Your broker should be guiding you as to progress and next steps, that’s what they’re there for.
Santander have a bit of a back log at the moment, but if your supporting docs have been sent, then I would expect you’ll hear back within 4 or 5 days.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Solicitors are asking for £300 to start the searches, is it OK to pay them now or shall I wait for any update from the lender as I have no idea how long it will take to receice the offer / vaulations.
Sorry for these asking noob questions.0 -
i've always waited but the choice is yours.
If you start the searches beforehand and something goes awry (not saying it will) you won't get that money back.
equally, starting them after the offer can delay things as you might've had them back by the time the offer is sent.0 -
