Car problems since BR

Hi all,
I’m looking for some help and advice. When my BR was accepted my OR took my vehicle and gave me an allowance to get a much cheaper vehicle.
I did this, and the car seemed to be fine. Over the last 3 months I’ve shelled out over £1,000 on trying to repair an issue that appears to keep appearing.
It’s got to the point where the garage are advising I get rid of the vehicle.. however, I don’t have the funds to get a new vehicle, nor do I to keep trying to repair this one.
Should this be something I call my OR about for some advice or do I contact the solicitors dealing with my IPA? Has anyone experience this before? What does the OR do?
Any help and advice would be really appreciated.

Are you still BR?
If so you won't get any finance from anybody.
What is the vehicle you have now worth if you sell?
Could you buy something else with those funds?
If not IMO you are stuffed - I can't see that the receiver being able to do anything for or the solicitors.0 -
If you are paying an IPA you could ask the OR to reduce it to enable you to get a car. Its the OR who makes the decision - not the collection agent.
Finance is unlikely until your BR drops off your credit history in 6 years (from date of BR)
Do you have a local credit union you could open an account with?
Some garages specialise in poor credit history but its all about affordability.
Depending on how long ago your BR was - can you take out a credit builder credit card like Vanquis? I hesitate to suggest ways to get back into debt but if you need a car for work your options are limited.0 -
same issue? if so what?
what car?0
