Can't drill deep enough

Hello! Trying to wall hang my tele and coming across an issue. Been provided wall plugs and screws, but I can't drill deep enough to fit them in. Get about half a centimetre short and then get stuck. Think the bit is OK and was relatively easy up to that point and then won't budge. Not with a smaller drill bit either to do…

Probably engineering bricks then you would be better using an SDS drill which will go drill through easy
