in Cutting tax
Hi.
So I self assessed online for the first time.
I don't have a printer at home but want a copy of the tax calculation. I need it for proof of income. Is there any way it can be emailed to me via my HRMC account? Seems odd that you can't download the actual tax calculation with a breakdown.

Pretty sure the answer is no. HMRC do not use email unless it is to alert you to a message on your account.0

My printer software allows me to alter "print to printer" to "save as pdf", are you sure yours does not do the same? I use it to save my tax returns as well as printing them from HMRC website0

When you do online SA there is an option - at about the 90% complete point - to download pdfs of SA302 (the calculation) and of the SA100 you would have submitted were you still a paper submitter. If you have already submitted you can always re-open the submission, work your way to the 90% point (you don't need to change any data, just navigate ), download the documents available and then exit, leaving the online SA unaltered.
Incidentally, how will it prove your income - if you filled in all of the data?0 -

I haven't got a printer at home. So I'm not sure? I can look though.0 -

When I click "View Self Assessment return for tax year 2018 to 2019" it takes me to the SA Menu, and the only option is to print. This is the document I want.
Unless the "Get SA302 Tax Calculation for tax year 2018 to 2019" link is exactly the same? That lets me download.
Because I self assess, the tax calculation is legal proof of income. It's what I will have to produce when applying for a mortgage, as it's proof of my dividends and tax paid. I've always filed on paper until now, and my tax calculation looks different to what it is producing on the HMRC account. My paper documents actually say it is proof of income too.0 -
