Hi, I'm so sorry about your aunt. My Mum died of cancer two years ago and I know that dealing with a terminal diagnosis is very hard. I think a window crystal is a wonderful idea. I hope you all have a lovely christmas x

We went through this with my b/f'smum around christmas 2001, she too liked massages and things so we bought her a foot spa, slightly odd present but she loved it for the short amount of time she got to use it.

Lots of love to you and your family-i know how difficult this can be xx

  • What about a facial? I know it sounds a bit odd but someone I knew who was in this position did go for facials since there were a lot of people visiting her etc and she wanted to look her best. She had one a couple of days before she died because we have a 'wake' tradition in Ireland where the person's body is kept at home for a few days and friends and relations visit and pray over them and she wanted to look as good as she could for it :) sorry if morbid but that's how she felt. Maybe not suitable for your aunt but just a thought.

The other possibility if she is able to eat or drink is to buy £30 worth of the most expensive of whatever is her fave food or drink. So a jar of very expensive harrods jam or a minature of very good whiskey...

I would guess though that you thinking about her will mean more than anything you buy so whatever you get will be right! I hope it all goes okay.
