Wait for p60 to submit self assessment

It is the first time I have PAYE income over 100k which means I need to submit a self assessment. Do people normally wait until they revive P60 to make sure the numbers are correct or can I do without?

  • Yes and yes.

    Your P60 should confirm a lot of the information on your final payslip of the year so you can probably use the relevant details from that.

    But you will get your P60 in plenty of time to file the return before any of the three deadlines which apply
