Do I get loyalty stamps if I pay with a gift card?

Hi

If I pay with a gift card in caffe nero, do I still get the loyalty stamps or only if I pay with cash/credit/debitcard? I am close to hitting a bonus target on my credit card so thinking of simply buying some gift cards as I am going to caffe nero regularly.

You should get a stamp when you use any money to pay for things. You wouldn't be able to pick up stamps if you bought s gift card, only when you use it to pay for things.


Think about it though; in Nero when a drink can cost anything from around £1 up to around ...actually I've no idea! But a couple of £s; how would they work out how many stamps to give to a gift card purchase? Work out how many of the highest priced drinks can be bought or how many of the lowest value drinks can be bought even if the person gifting the card only ever drinks diet coke...
