Good Beginner Camera - DSLR etc

Hi,
I am learning photography on online courses and was wishing to purchase a beginner camera to begin with.
It’s for general photography but would be brilliant if I could use this for taking product photos for my jewellery shop.
Could I have some suggestions or models to check out, I am aware they are several £100 pounds but if there is a good value one, I would be happy to try this first then upgrade. I am aware that I’ll have to buy lens etc in the near future too
Thanks!

No need to spend several hundred.
You can pick up a used Canon or Nikon dSLR body for £50-100. When new they would been £1500+.
I paid £200 for mine about 10 years ago, its had some hammer and is now falling apart, but works as well as when I bought it at 3 years old. £200 now will get me another excellent replacement body.
Spend on lenses, but also buy second hand.0 -
Thanks so much, never even thought about just buying the body second hand, I’ve just been looking for complete new sets but did get a shock at the prices
I’ll take a peek on Depop or gumtree and hopefully start from there xx0 -
There are also specialist outlets such as London Camera Exchange, MPB photographic that will assess condition and clean the cameras before sale.0

If you have a CameraWorld shop near you, they sell secondhand or reconditioned cameras and you can trade in your old camera.0

Go to a local good camera shop and have a good play with both Canon and Nikon. Decide which camera suits your hand best, I have very small hands and true Nikon’s are just too big and doesn’t suit me. Once you know which brand you want, do some research online and then look for one secondhand.
