school playset finished result

I don't know if anyone remembers but I was making a school playset for my 6 year old dd birthday in 2 weeks time. Well it's taken me ages but it's finished other than a bit of arranging and I will put cellophane around it. Look in my photobo for the pictures.

A lovely practical idea. You can choose the things you know your daughter will love to play with. :T

  • As a teacher..... that's brilliant! Well done to you. It must have taken you a lot of hard work to put that together. I'm sure she'll love it!

  • I'm a teacher also and think it looks great! At school when we've had a school in the roleplay area the thing the children enjoyed the most was pretend registers. Easy to make on Word on the computer - a table with a column of names on the left and lots of blank columns afterwards to tick if they're at school! You could use names that your child would recognise of family members etc.

Thanks for all your comments. I have made a register and a door sign but the register seems to be missing from the pictures?? It took ages to laminate the alphabet and number cards etc but as i already had the laminating sheets was a cheaper option. I think she will love it as she already plays schools now so to have all the bits and pieces to make it 'real' will go down well.
    Cheers
