Mortgage History Requests

We have been going through a mortgage endowment miss-selling complaint procedure since last November and have provided lots of information so far. The latest request is for a much more detailed mortgage history.. It asks for all details of all mortgages taken out, lender and account details, amounts of loans, terms, details of special arrangements (discounts, fixed rates etc), dates of payments and any capital payments dates and amounts. This is for any mortgages taken out since 1999. I can't see how this detail affects whether or not I was miss-sold an endowment mortgage in 1999. Can anyone advise me whether this is a legitimate request or are they just trying to keep stalling by asking for more and more information and hoping I'll give up. Thanks

Why not just supply what they want and let them process your claim.0

Well, how do you think your loss would be calculated, other than by working out what you've actually paid under interest-only mortgage(s) vs what you could have paid if you had been advised to take out a repayment mortgage? Nobody can do that without knowing the figures.0
