Fund for Salary Sacrificed Monies Needed 2020?

I'm currently sal sac down to minimum wage and funding my monthy expenses using part of savings intended to pay off the mortgage next year.
As the money will be needed pretty soon in investment terms, at the moment I'm putting the sal sac into L&G Pre-Retirement Fixed Interest Bond Fund but I'm thinking that perhaps I should really put them in a cash fund (Blackrock Institutional Sterling Liquidity).
The current fund has a charge of 0.105%
The cash fund charge is 0.13%
Any thoughts?

It depends whether you want the relative certainty of cash for a nominal fee, or the relative uncertainty of global bond investments for a nominal fee. The fees are materially the same while if you choose the bond the assets could easily go up and down by several percent (while you look on in happiness or horror).0
