Is a mortgage possible in my situation?

So i am looking at applying for a mortgage. I have found a property that i like and have 15% deposit saved. The problem is i have a default for£300 and missed payments marked '6' for £200 on a utility bill dating back 2 years. These occured in a rough period and i have paid them off and never had a problem since. I did speak to l&c and they were very vague not really giving me an answer as to whether its possible. They did mention that they could look at lenders who dont check equifax as the isses only appear on their. Is it likely i would get a mortgage?

You should definitely have options. I would think you can probably get a high street lender on board (assuming the issues have been satisfied). If not, you might find you are looking at rates of around 3.5% give or take a little.

Thank you sound hopeful. I was a little concerned when they mentioned using a lender who doesnt check equifax. Shouldnt i declare my past problems, wouldnt it look worse if they found out?0
