I have received an email from CURO transatlantic Limited (CTL - formally Wage Day Advance) , informing me that Howard Smith and Ed Boyle were appointed as Joint Administrators of CTL on 25 Feb 2019.

And that the Joint Administrators believe that I may have a claim against CTL.

The email then goes on to include all my personal details (Name, Email address, Home address, last four of my bank account)

It then links to the proposals - which takes me to a document from KPMG.

Its seems all official and legitimate. Any advice?

Buy the way they say my claim is £2630.72 something not to be missed if it is legit.

Make sure if any details have changed then to email them as per the email and not submit the claim at that point.

If you have previously taken out loans with Wage Day Advance then email is probably legit. WDA are in administration and KPMG are handling it
  • PeteUK. DO you mind me asking, the offer that you have received, how does this measure up to what you actually paid to the PayDay company? Is it a fraction of the actual amount or is it a decent offer? The amount they've offered to me is laughable so I've filled in their claim form and sent my bank statements to them as I have no idea how they came about the figure they've suggested to me for redress. I realise they're not paying the full amounts but my offer is very poor. Thanks

Keep in mind that they do not necessarily have to redress all loans... some will be too old, earlier loans may have been lent ‘correctly’ - usually the administrator will do the basic that is required of them in this scenario.
  • Not to sure if anyone will know the answer to this but here goes...

I also recieved the email which stated I am owed a figure of £3247.89.

I'm guessing that this has happened with other companies like wonga and the likes and would be interested in finding out roughly what percentage of the entitlement figure people actually got back??
