As i am having not much luck with using coupons these days, i was wondering if anyone had tried using coupons as part of a meal in Asda's resteraunt.

i tried, a definite no. to be honest i don't think the tills can scan coupons. they wouldn't even take luncheon vouchers, despite them being valid for use in asda. you can use them as part of the shopping, up to ten percent off - hardly constitutes a free lunch :-(

i'm doing okay for coupons at the moment, mine all have long expiry dates. i've also noticed that not all staff work out what ten percent off will be, so you can slip in a couple of extra coupons. the staff won't get into trouble - my mum works overnight at asda and has this wierd idea that they take up to 30%, she's the only one on the tills at night so nobody has ever told her the policy is ten percent not thirty. she's taken 30% for years and it's never been noticed - unfortunately she's not allowed to serve me! so don't worry about the checkout staff getting into trouble if they take more than ten percent.

you can buy george clothing at the main tills too - the george counter won't accept coupons but if you buy your clothes at the main tills you can use coupons, you still get the full amount refunded if you need to return anything.

If you are having a breakfast and want an egg, don't choose scrambled eggs, as it is ready-made from a pack. Always have fried eggs instead which are freshly made.
