Has anybody had any experience with sdl property management, there service charges seem excessive they seem to have 2 service charges.
I have paid a service charge for 450 till June. Now there is another service charge from 5 April called half yearly service charge in advance for 1000 to 4.10.19 and on another paper it has the dates 5.04.19 to 4.04.20 with a heading sc-schedule 1.
I wish I could sell this flat but it is also in my dads name who I do not talk to as we had a severe falling out.😂

If you think the charges are incorrect or don't understand them, ask them for clarification.0

I will ring them on Monday but there is mention of them finding quotes for a roof. But they did roof work several years ago, but it seems excessive for a one bedroom flat and the mortgage is higher than the rent. So I am a little worried and the flat needs some work. When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nietzsche

The cost of the works will be shared between all the flats. New roof could be expensive.0 -

You are probably right, but still a hard pill to swallow. When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nietzsche

Exactly why buying a flat has pit falls and also where money and family shouldn't mix"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Update, I rang them up and one person connected to another person and it seems to them the dates were not right. So I will ring the actual person who worked out the service charge in may one month before the bill comes.
Interesting though there was a surplus last year which is not being used to lower this excessive charge instead it is being put into the reserve account. So I have to ask about this in may where I will have a fresh look at the problem. When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you. Nietzsche
