Bath mat cleaning ideas

My bath mat has ended up with pink bits and it seems a bit grim
I've soaked it in bleach over night and that hasn't sorted it. It's one of the plastic ones with the suckers on the bottom. It's not got the black mould on it. I've tried scrubbing it but to no avail.
Any genius ideas please? I don't really want to throw it away and start again but need to get better at remembering to stick it to the side of the bath when it's not in use

Put it through the washing machine when you do your towels - it may not get rid of it all but it should bring it up much cleaner.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.0

Spray with Astonish mould and mildew remover. The pink is algae.0

What detergent are you cleaning the bath mat with? You may need something stronger such as liquid sugar soap or neat washing up liquid. Bathroom grease and grime has a lot in common with kitchen grease and grime.
Agree use a proper mould and mildew killer once you have shifted the 'nutritious' gunk that any microbes are feeding on.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I used bleach in cold water, then it went through the washing machine with Ariel.
I may see if napisan does any good before purchasing mould stuff... Will put it through the machine again when the nappies are done0 -
Try malt vinegar diluted down a bit, that killed the green algae on my paving stones so I reckon it'll be effective against the ghastly pink stuff, too.0
