Scoops - Answering questions for Amazon vouchers.

Trying out Scoops.io where you have to answer questions on your specialist subject for Amazon vouchers. There is no content writing option so I chose business in general. I've only got 75c (about 60p) and you can cash out about $1. You can only get it in Amazon vouchers though.
Having tried to ask a question I find it costs $12 (about £9). So maybe I won't be doing that any time soon.

I've just checked it out - the main site explaining what they do etc. (seems mostly aimed at people/companies doing market research) is https://scoops.io/
lol at the fish obsession:rotfl:
- you have to scroll right down the page to find
the link to sign up to the panel.
https://club.scoops.io/
Signing up via the link at the top only signs you up for an account to ask questions - I did that by mistake, & trying to sign up by the right link with the same emal gave me an email already in use error. Managed to sign up ok with a different email.
Q&A is in a messanger format.
Don't see anywhere to choose a "specialist subject" to answer questions on, just got sent some intro demographic questions, followed by random qs from hair supply in a box & swimming ap companies. I've earned 30 cents already.
You can also choose to donate to charity when you've earned $1.
Anyone know if the amazon vouchers are for the US site only?"And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0 -

According to the site it's $12 for 100 responses.Jenna_Appleseed wrote: »Don't see anywhere to choose a "specialist subject" to answer questions on,
the faq (aimed at start ups asking questions) says
"Why can't we target specific groups of people on the panel?
Imagine you’re fishing. You think you’ll catch halibut :fish: so you put halibut bait in the water. You can’t see what’s underwater, and nothing bites. Looks like there won’t be dinner for you or your 3 starving adolescent brothers.
Instead, why don’t you cast a giant net with all sorts of bait and see what fish swim in? Turns out, that day salmon actually represented 95% of the fish underwater.
There’s a life lesson in that story somewhere, but we wrote it to make a point about market research. Twitter thought their first adopters would be college students, Twitch had no idea that gamers were the ones wanting to watch livestreams the most. Whoever you think your first adopters are, there’s a good chance you’re wrong.
Instead of introducing bias by saying “My target audience will be 35-45 Females” and getting no bites on the end of your hook, cast a wide net and see if people HAVE the problem you’re trying to solve first. THEN find out who they are.
For specific niche products: E.g. Feminine Hygiene products, Golf products:
Of course, if a product can really only be used by a specific group of people, targeting everyone isn't the best route. To this end, we’re working on allowing for panel targeting, but it’s not available yet! Feel free to bother us on Twitter until we get it done
Keep in mind, sometimes even niche products (E.g. products for Golfers) can be more generalized than you think. A product for golf (unless it’s specifically about your swing) possibly can be used for other sports as well, if it shares commonalities like tracking stats. If you’re unsure, follow what the academics do - ask a random panel to avoid bias!""And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0 -

WARNING: For anyone who's signed up to the buying survey questions side of scoops (like I accidentally did), they've accidentally sent out an email not using BCC, sharing everybody's email with the entire business mailing list. Me and the entire list have already been spammed by mytimebot as a result.
Apology emailApologies for the email leakage, we understand the ramifications and take full responsibility!
Chris from Scoops
Hi everyone,
I sent an email earlier today regarding an update from Scoops. I made grave mistake not bcc'ing everyone, and am sincerely sorry for it.
It won't happen again, and I understand the ramifications - we'd ask that you don't share using the emails that were made public, but we know we certainly didn't help the issue.
We're a two person startup with under two month's runway, in the event of insolvency we'll be deleting all your data off of our database, but if you'd like to have it erased immediately don't hesitate to reach out and I will do so.
It was a grave oversight, and I appreciate your understanding.
Best,
Can't log into the business side so don't know if there's a leave/delete account option, but there's nothing obvious on the survey site. Have sent them an email to get both accounts deleted."And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0
