What is the best mortgage?

We owe £55,000 to the Abbey. At present we have an interest only mortgage after having some problems when my husband was out of work. We are now in a position to renegotiate with them for a new mortgage. My husband is 56 and we would like to clear the debt in ten years maximum.
What type of mortgage would be best?
Any advice would be welcome as in the past we have had repayment mortgages and cleared the debt quicker than the alloted period.

All mortgage brokers would recomend a repayment mortgage over interest only mortgage. I would speak with a whole of market mortgage broker and see if they can get a better mortgage rate than Abbey offer.0
