Debt Busting & House Buying

Options
Hi :hello:
We've been on our debt free journey since January 2018, but started to take it seriously in August 2018. It hasn't always been plain sailing but in that time we've paid off about £5k. But, more importantly, we haven't accumulated any more debts :T

We have set ourselves a debt free date of September 2021 which means we have 30 months to change our lives.

We've already made big and small changes, such as:
-cutting our outgoings
-increasing our income
-being more frugal
-differentiating wants and needs

I have started this diary at his point as I feel like we are now over the debt hump and could do with some encouragement and support to reach our goal.

Total debt=£9,700
House Deposit=£1,200

Any words of wisdom are welcomed :)

    Hi,

Not really sure how I'm going to keep my diary updated but made some progress with debts/savings, so thought I'd better update the diary.

Not really spending money on much at the moment. I do keep going over our food budget. This keeps happening because I'm not planning properly. Need to get on top of this.

    Total debt=£9,485
    House Deposit=£1,400

Big changes start with small steps

Just dropping by to update. Feeling very positive about our journey today. We are on track to reach our DFD and I am so excited. Still a long road by I am confident we can get there. I can't wait to be debt free! Will be back at the end of the month with an update on payments.
