Fortunately depreciation (as a "cost") doesn't exist if you intend to keep the car and run it until it breaks so a 0% PCP deal worked very well for me.
Sorry but unless you managed to scrap the car for what its purchase value was depreciation absolutely does exist and if you bought a new car and ran it into the scrap yard you'd be paying much more than buying a 2-3 year old car and doing the same even though the length of ownership may be shorter.
I pad £8500 for my car, I intend to run it til it dies at which point it'll either get PX'd or scrapped. The depreciation will be the difference between what I paid and what I get for it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
