Sorry of not the right board and this isn't really a tax question, but more of a payroll question.

If I finished up / left last Friday 29th March and I'm calendar monthly paid, would I expect my usual one month's salary or would it be prorated on a daily basis?

Similarly, if I started 3rd June 2019, would my salary be one twelfth or prorated daily?

  • This question crops up a lot on the Employment, Jobseeking and Training board.

You are correct that it is a payroll question and only your employer can answer it. Each company can have a different policy.

You may get a month's pay for March but is is unlikely for June. But only the respective employers can say for certain.

You will receive a full months money for both months, unless of course you work weekends then it will be on a daily basis
