Hardly a surprise given how the whole sector has been in long term decline for years but they saw a massive circulation drop (over 40%) year on year when they were not selling many to start with - Just in numbers TAB only lost about 10,000 fewer copies than NOW but that represented just 8% of their circulation which nevertheless reached a new low of under 470,000 actively purchased copies - not the first thing you might grasp from the Bauer spin on the figuresTake a Break and that’s life! have both shown market beating performances YOY and both have grown their market share over the same period.
It's true but only because their drop was less than other titles.
Total circulation figures for the 3 main groups
TI (who were Time inc) dropped 11% to 2.75 million
Hearst dropped 8% to 2.5 million
Bauer dropped 3% to 3.03 million0 -
