Is there such a thing over here? I'm talking about a decent cafe/restaurant that has a secure play area that a toddler can be threw into whilst me and the missus have lunch?

    theres not a lot of places that you can leave a child whilst you have a meal but brewsters have a area you can take them to for a small fee .. last time it was £2. The one in peterborough has the play area right next to the resturant were the children can run in and out and wear coloured tabards..

    Zoo park cafe in Carrickfergus have a soft play area for kids.

    Its beside the cinema and Co-op.

    Brewsters seem good, i think they have a place near Troon that we stopped in on the way back to the boat last year. Zoo park is near by but our brat is too young and I'd like somewhere free ;)

    If you're in Derry, the bowling alley in Springtown has got a facility for children. It's called "Bananas" I think. I know it's there - but I've got no more info on cost etc. for now
