Pay is on P60, but not in my bank

Hi

Hope someone can help. My previous employer has issued by P60 and payslip and updated my account on HMRC Gateway, to say I have been paid this month. However, the money is not in my account and my employer is not getting back to me. I need to use the money to put into my LISA for this tax year, but obviously if this is not received by 5 April I won't be able to and I will have been taxed a considerable amount, for something I have not received. Is there anything I can do?

Thanks - Jamie

This is probably a stupid question but, have you spoken to your ex employer? They’re the ones in the position to know what’s happening with payroll.

They have said the employer is not getting back to them

I did say it was probably a stupid question. This just confirms it.

To be fair, pay is updated to HMRC a long time before you receive it so there is nothing untoward here, I can check my personal tax account 1-2 weeks before I receive the money to see what I've been paid haha.

As it's only been 1 day from when you expected to be paid (2 now), just wait and check your bank/await a response from your ex-employer.

I put money on the fact that you'll receive the money in the next day or two and not return to this thread.
