  • Not sure how much currys are selling them for but i recently bought a tv from these people:

I bought the Samsung M87 LCD and they were the cheapest on the web with it at £739.
Delivery was £40 but as I lived close I just went and picked it up.
Very professional, just got me one out the warehouse and then put it in the car.

When I was shopping for one though, I went in to John Lewis and asked if they had the M87 series in stock they said they only did the M86 and Curries said the same. The sales person said the reason they will not do the M87 is to stop people getting Curries to price match discount retailers.

The M87 series will be sold to certain retailers and other ones may get the M86 or M85 and they are the same television with slight cosmetic differences.

This was the same when i bought my previous Samsung the R74. Some retailers had the R72 and some had the R73. They all had different coloured strips ont the bottom of them. (Silver, blue green)

This was confirmed when I opened the TV and the manual said Samsung M8 Series Instructions, its a sneaky world that of online TV's!
But try that beyond television they were very good with me.
  • amazon are the cheapest at £899. They are £1299 at john lewis, but you can get it down to £1049 with a price match. This will then come with a free 5 year warranty. This is the option i took.

This is a "grab it while you can" response really, but Costco have it on their passport offer this week, expires tomorrow. I paid £832 for it after VAT earlier this week, but NB as ever with Costco this includes a 3 year warranty.

After tomorrow, it'd revert to standard price, I think approx £999 (but remember that warranty).

    Very nice TV, incidentally.
I really must stop loafing and get back to work...
