A bit late with weigh in this week and it’s only STS anyway . Such a week of trying to support others who have had bad news and worrying .Situations like this always result in me not bothering to watch what I’m eating and seeking solace in food .will try harder next week .
Well done Vicky , a bit of loose skin is a small price to pay for the extra benefits health wise ,you’ve done really well.
Have a good week everyone . I won’t make my target this challenge but I’ve chipped a little bit more off that stubborn weight so I’m happy with that and perhaps a tiny bit more next week .0 -

Hello All
Little loss of -1lb this week, I'm pleased though as it's taken me (just) into the next stone bracket it's so nice to see a different stone number!
Work has been horrible this week but have tried my best to not give in to a huge cheese sandwich (my go to calorie splurge). So far so good, am off for 2 days now then back to work Saturday so will give me time to strengthen my resolve.
B muesli, nat yog, berries
S cereal bar
L chilli and new pot, apple
D jacket pot and salad.
Thanks for all your hard work keeping us in line Cranky, hope you are feeling better xx
Think I've just missed hitting my target for this challenge, but I'm nearer over all.'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Busy few days. When I'm busy I don't eat much but when I'm mooching about I eat loads. sad really
I seem to spend a fortune of fruit at the moment, The strawberries in the garden are now coming on line and I picked the first raspberries today, hopefully the fruit bill will go down now.
Yesterday
B; black tea
L: tinned soup, fruit
D:chicken breast, veg, grapes, pear and walnuts
Today
B; black tea
L: soup fruit
D; goat cheese, pesto pasta, jelly blackcurrants and a bit of cream
Loss 1.5lb this week. Is this the last weigh-in before the new challenge?0 -
STS please Cranky. Not sure why as I thought I ate the same as last week other than Friday where a worrying family phone call had me reaching for the carp  I did pull myself up by the end of the evening, nothing I can do 100 miles away and not a lot I could do if I was there so no point in self destructing. I had hope to reach my target but I'll take STS over a gain
B - fruit - banana, nectarine and mixed berries
L - seafood stick and egg salad
D - jacket potato, cheese and HM coleslaw
S - shortbread biscuit, apricot and pearLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I finally bit the bullet and got on the scales this morning. I was pleasantly surprised that it was only +3lb, although that does mean that I'm now 2lb heavier than when the challenge started
I really don't know what's the matter with me at the moment, no matter how hard I try I can't seem to get my eating under control. I know that it's making me miserable and lethargic, I know that it's doing me no good, I know that hardly any of my summer clothes fit and I still reach for the biscuit tin/cakes/crisps/whatever as a way of not dealing with sh1tty things that are beyond my control.
My husband's got to go away for work for a couple of days next week and I know that I should spend the time alone going through what's in the freezer and putting together a healthy meal plan, which will also help get a grip on our finances, but I fear that I'll do my usual of eating all manner of rubbish because there's nobody there to see what I'm doing
Well done everyone for the losses and best of luck for the next challenge to those who aren't where they wanted to be.0 -
Sorry I've not been back to the thread for ages, dieting has not been my first priority recently, have been dealing with family stuff. Have been trying to register my parents Power of Attorney with banks, all I will say is banks should be ashamed of themselves, they make it so difficult for people at what is already a distressing time. Had a letter from one bank today saying they can't action POA as there are pages missing, so I phone and ask what pages are missing? None of them, they just didn't understand it...this is a dedicated department that only deals with POA! God give me strength, I've been in tears of frustration some days.
Anyway, that rant has nothing to do with losing weight
Since I was last on I've lost 1lb. So one more pound down. Didn't make my target but better than nothing.
Thanks Cranky for keeping the records
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Another busy day. I'm supposed to be retired but today I started at 7.30 with housework, then moved onto the veg plot, then helped DH by bathing/showering 2 horses, (that took over an hour) - lunch - helped DH again with the training of two youngsters, food shopping, DH then had his head under the landrover bonnet so I mowed the path edges, collected and sorted the eggs from 180 chickens plus feeding and watering them, - made dinner, - did some washing and sorted out some admin. Sat down at the computer about an hour ago.
I noticed that the neighbours, also retired, spent quite a long time sitting on their patio with a bottle and reading a book followed by a bar-b-que. I think I've not quite sorted out what retirement is !!!!!
b: black tea
L; soup and fruitsausages, baked beans, strawberries/cream
Time for bed at least I'll sleep well0 -
Just can’t seem to get my sensible eating head into gear so STS again this week .Maybe this lovely weather will help to sort me out and I won’t resort to ice cream as a cooler.
Well done all the people who have lost on this challenge even if like me it’s only a little bit ,we are still less than when we started !0 -
Zafiro I don't think you're ever have a sit down and do nothing retirement with all your chickens and horses
I'm hiding in doors out of the heat although not in the peace and quiet I hoped for as the builders are completely revamping next door and seem to be working today with some kind of electrical saw by the sound of it
I've sorted through some clothes especially Tee shirts and seem to have rather a lot in seven different sizes  so sorted into too big, too small, just rightand sub piles of baggie but will do for garden and indoor work and showing a little too much gut so for indoor wear
. Some did go into charity bags and some which now fit are on the line having been refreshed. I'm also happy to fit into 3 linen shirts again
. It's given me some incentive to keep going I'm hoping to get into the slightly too tight ones for my week away at the end of July.
I know I should get rid of the too big ones but as we know it's an ideal world where I'll never need them again
Food wise today
B- none
L - slice of turkey steak breadcrumbed and cooked in the air fried with salad
D - I'm not sure yet, I have cooked salmon so it could be salad againLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0
