My mortgage deal ends next week so the day after I want to pay a lump sum of the mortgage so I do not pay early repayment charge. so whats the best way to do it.
1 Go into santander branch and pay by a cheque.
2 Ring santander and do it over the phone maybe using debit card.
3 Online banking sending money to a santander account number given to me over phone.
I do not have a santander bank account which would have made it easier.

Not sure which is the best but I paid off £48k of my Santander mortgage last year and set them up as a payee on my banking app. Had to make 3 payments as there is a £20k daily limit. For me it was the easiest, safest and fastest.
As I now make regular monthly over payments it proved really helpful because with a few swipes i can make an over payment in a few moments
Only £5k to go until I'm MF

Option 1 for me - going into the branch and pay by cheque.
I love online banking with the ease of paying my bills etc. However there are certain things I do not do over the phone or do by Natwest Apps0 -
