O/S Daily Friday 29th March 2019
This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or SLOW internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need one, and those who are poorly and those looking after poorly people x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
DH up and gone to work stupid early, DS1 now getting ready for work and I'm showered and dressed and enjoying first cuppa and porridge.
Cloudy and dull here - but it started like that yesterday but the sky cleared and it was a lovely day, hoping today will be the same. I got washing line dried yesterday and will hope for the same today.
Dinner last night was beef stew and dumplings, mash, carrots and broccoli, very nice it was too, clean plates all round. Tonight will be a quick and easy something with chips as it's Friday.
Yesterday I was quite productive, I decided early morning by about 7.30am that as I'd done everything on here I needed to do I could get on with the housework and get as much done as I could before going out - I was aiming for just getting upstairs and the bathrooms done, but managed the downstairs too, so had more time to spend doing other things, which was just as well as I had some work on the pc and then printing stuff out the printer decided it needed more ink and wouldn't print anything, so had to chase about for that but got it all sorted in the end.
There's not even a pile of ironing to do as I've been washing and line drying the washing daily - so just a quick 10 minutes in the TD or put straight on to a hanger and they don't need ironing. Will have to iron my uniform shirts though. I will be heading to the SM first thing and then home to unpack and possibly have the rest of the day sorting paperwork and shredding old stuff - can't believe how much paperwork just seems to accumulate.
Keep safe and well x
