Should I pay tax when I live abroad?

in Cutting tax
Hi all! I am a UK citizen who works and lives in a West African country which has no reciprocal tax deal with the UK. Currently, my salary is paid in GBP into my British bank account and I pay UK tax, as my company is based in the UK- I also pay a small amount of income tax in my country of residence. However, I have just started a new job, in the same country but with a company based in Switzerland, and my salary is paid in Swiss Francs. Since my company is not a British one, and I no longer live in the UK, I am wondering if I can declare myself non-domiciled and then not pay UK tax- I come home twice a year for about 6 weeks in total. In that case, what should I do with my salary? If I have a British bank account do I have to pay tax? Can I open a bank account in Switzerland and store my salary in Francs without paying tax there? Or should I open a UK offshore account? Any advice welcome!

It's not a question of domicile, it's a question of residence.
