Holiday win help!

Hi all,
I have been incredibly lucky in winning a holiday which I was planning to give to a close relative however I've just been informed it's non-transferable which to be fair is in the terms.
Has anyone ever managed to convince the organiser otherwise before or do you think it would be possible to change a name on the flight at a later stage?
Any advice welcome, thanks a lot!

Nothing to lose by trying to persuade them although holidays are usually non-transferable - your chances of getting away with a name change might depend how the flight is organised although if you try and fail the prize will presumably be lost and not offered to a runner-up.

A few years ago I won a skiing holiday to Switzerland and the promoter allowed son and daughter to go instead. However, no flights were part of the prize, just transfers, accommodation etc.
