Lovely - this is my recipe here: http://www.littlemissmiser.com/2017/05/food-for-free-wild-garlic-and-walnut.html

Thanks for the nudge to check our local woods!

Sounds lovely. I’m not sure, though, that I’d know wild garlic if I stepped on it. (I’m plant ignorant.). What does it look like?

    Thanks,

Reminds me of when I was a student doing my Teaching Practice. A child brought in some unknown (to me) flowers for the Nature Table. The next morning I opened the classroom door and was nearly knocked backward by the stench. There was no doubt then what the flowers were.

I love garlic, but that morning over 60 years ago is etched on my olfactory nerves to this day.

Going to be super stupid here as I have never even seen or smelt a wild garlic plant.

Do you use just the leaf and if so how much do you snip off.
and can you use/or not use any other part of the plant - say it's base or the flowers.
