The only downside I can think of is that you might have to sign up for energynote twice because otherwise you’d have 2 import feeds trying to populate the same cell. I assume iit’s possible to feed a minim & a Solo 2 PV into one energynote account?

    Hi all

Thinking about this, I have a Geo Minim with current clamp that is surplus to my needs now I have the same monitoring in the PowerVault. Happy to post it FoC to the first contributor to this thread to PM me. It's been in the drawer gathering dust for a while, so can't guarantee it will work, but you've nothing to lose. I don't want anything for it, but if it works for you and saves you a few quid and you would like to, you can make a donation entirely at your own discretion to Crohn's and Colitis UK - a charity very close to my heart ( but please make sure it works first :) )

I use an eco-eye smart pv monitor on mine and a energyhivehub hub which can read the eco-eye signal to put the data online. works really well.

I use the Glow solar monitoring kit. Good value and works. Wet well. However it measures the generation about 15% out and it seems to be because My Inverter is a Solis and the glow and owl products have an issue with Solis inverts. Other than that it’s a great bit of kit.

I have a solis invertor and use the eco-eye as it has a copper band to place around the cable to identify "Real Power" and gives me accurate readings.

I am confused about this product. The diagrams all show a physical wire between both the inverter and the consumer unit to the transmitter. Often these will be nowhere near each other (mine certainly aren't) so how does this work?

There are no cables to the inverter. It is basically a CT clamp around the Live from the inverter, one around the Live from the meter, and the copper wrap goes around the neutral cable from the meter.

Yes, I realise that, but that doesn't help me at all. It is the other end of the cable that is the issue. If they both plug into the same transmitter, which is what it shows on the diagrams, then one of the cables will have to be two stories long!

In my case, the install has the cable from the inverter coming out of the loft, down the side of the house in armoured cable, into the meter box to the CU on the other side of the wall, back through the meter box to a henley block. I suspect most people have a henley block for the main import and the solar. It is here that you connect the CT clamps.

Thank you, you have confirmed my worst fears about this setup. It's a shame they couldn't have deigned it with two transmitters.
