Appraisals - Using Feedback from other Operators

Hi
Can anyone clarify what is acceptable for gathering information relative to a probation period and regular reviews/appraisals.
I work for a company that employed agency workers after about 2.5 years (now 15 months) then puts their employers through an intense year period where they are watched quite intensely.
Is feedback from other operators- that has an impact on your grading- considered acceptable?
Thanks in advance

A company can use whatever information they like to appraise it employees.0

We use something similar. And around 6 managers from other departments then complete an online report, which produces an average.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0

Feedback from any source, as long as it is verifiable, is perfectly acceptable.0

Short answer, yes.
Long answer, google 360degree feedback systems. As far back as 1990s we used feedback from colleagues, customers, suppliers to inform appraisals and development plans.Originally Posted by shortcrust
