White seersucker or patterned duvet

Options
For the past few years I been using seersucker bedding from M&S (a set in white and one in cream), it only comes in plain colours and its so comfy to sleep with and doesn't need any ironing.

However now I have had my main bedroom wall painted a mustard colour, I love the retro look so have bought an Orla Kiely duvet from Ebay which looks really good. But its not as soft as the seersucker duvet and it gets very creased.

Which would you go with?

I love Orla Kiely designs so I'd have both!:D

What you could do is have the plain duvet cover and some Orla Kiely cushions to dress it. Dunhelm have some as well as other suppliers.

Just what I was going to say . . . both, dress with cushions on either bed, a chair or even curtains.

Are you comparing a well-washed duvet with a brand new one?
    Are both 100% cotton?
Cotton will crease but I imagine that seersucker fabric will appear less creased than a flat fabric.

Unless you can return the new duvet for a full refund (or plan to resell it) or are willing to write off the cost, you're stuck with it.

I’d call my walls pale gold rather than mustard. The only reason I don’t have patterned duvet covers any more is that I bought patterned curtains. If both look good, keep ‘em!

Can you get a very thin summer-weight duvet and use the orla keily cover as more of a bed spread?

That way you'd get the pattern, but you wouldn't have to sleep on it and crease it. Best of both worlds.

I used to do that. I love white bedding, but I had a pink duvet cover that was very pretty.

I'd then dress the bed with a couple of Orla Kiely cushions.
